The session, titled “Becoming Me,” was conducted by Ms. Rosita Sequeira and focused on personality development. The session helped students understand the importance of knowing themselves, developing self-awareness, and building a positive sense of self.
The programme was organised to provide students with an opportunity to understand the various factors that contribute to personality development and to encourage meaningful reflection on their own personality, self-perception, and interpersonal relationships.
Objectives
The session was conducted with the following objectives:
- To enhance students’ self-awareness and understanding of personality.
- To encourage reflection on self-perception and personal identity.
- To help students understand the influence of social environment and interpersonal relationships on personality development.
- To promote self-acceptance and a positive self-concept.
- To encourage students to identify their strengths and areas for personal growth.
Ms. Rosita conducted various interactive activities that encouraged students to think about their personality, strengths, and the way they see themselves. The activities also helped students understand how the opinions and perceptions of others can influence an individual’s personality development.
The session witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from students of both first and second year. The activity-based methodology encouraged students to engage in reflection, discussion, and experiential learning. The programme provided an opportunity for students to develop greater awareness of themselves while strengthening their communication and interpersonal skills.
The programme was well received by the students and served as a valuable initiative towards promoting self-awareness, personal growth, positive self-concept, and holistic student development
