Mangaluru, Jul 16: In celebration of World Youth Skills Day under the global theme “Skills for a Shared Future,” the PG Department of Business Administration (MBA) at St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a specialized workshop titled “Empowering Youth through Skills: Becoming an AI-Ready Professional” on July 15, 2026. The program was conducted for first and second-year MBA students to equip them with essential skills for an AI-driven workplace.

The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Ragesh Raju, Assistant Professor at AJ Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mangaluru, and formally introduced by Ms. Joylene. The event was graced by Mrs. Sheryl Preethika, Head of the Department (MBA), along with faculty members Mr Chaco P. J., Dr Mallika Shetty, Mr Roopesh Kumar, and Ms Joylene Lobo, Assistant Professors of the MBA Department. In his address, Mr. Raju highlighted the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence across business sectors and emphasized the need for future management professionals to combine technical knowledge with critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.

During the hands-on morning session, participants were introduced to various productivity-focused AI tools and mastered the fundamentals of prompt engineering. Through live demonstrations, students learned how to craft structured prompts to achieve precise, high-quality outcomes for research and professional tasks.

The afternoon segment focused heavily on placement preparation, where Mr. Raju demonstrated how to leverage tools like ChatGPT for resume enhancement and simulated mock interviews. The interactive workshop also featured team-building exercises, dynamic problem-solving activities, and a concluding Q&A session addressing AI ethics and career upskilling strategies. The event successfully empowered students with practical, future-ready skills to navigate the modern corporate landscape.
