On 25 July 2026, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, celebrated Ethnic Day 2026 – RIWAAYAT at the Centenary Auditorium. Organised by the Student Council, the event was a vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and diversity. Students and faculty came together in colourful traditional attire, creating an atmosphere of unity, pride, and festivity.

The programme commenced with a soulful Welcome Song, setting the tone for the day’s celebrations. This was followed by the traditional inauguration of RIWAAYAT by the Principal, Sr Dr M. Venisaa A.C., PG Co-ordinator Sr Dr M. Vinora A.C., Vice Principal Sr Dr Roopa Rodrigues, along with PG Student President Akshatha Shet and UG Student President Nabhan Muzaffar. The ceremonial inauguration beautifully reflected the spirit of Indian culture and officially marked the beginning of the event.

The cultural programme featured a series of graceful ethnic dance performances by both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, celebrating the richness and diversity of Indian culture. The Postgraduate students presented performances portraying various regional traditions and customs from across the country, while the Undergraduate students captivated the audience with an energetic fusion of Indian traditions and culture through a vibrant mix of popular movie songs, making the programme highly entertaining and memorable.

Traditional games for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students were conducted by Vasishta Rai, encouraging enthusiastic participation and creating a lively atmosphere. One of the major highlights of RIWAAYAT was the spectacular Cabinet Dance presented by the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Student Councils, which received loud applause from the audience.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by UG Student President Nabhan Muzaffar. The celebration concluded with the College Anthem presented by the choir, bringing the event to a memorable close.
