The Department of BBA in association with Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund and Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association (MUCTA) organized a one day workshop on “Investor Awareness Program” for final year BBA and Bcom students on 11th March 2020.
Mr. Leo Amal, Branch Manager, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt ltd., Mangalore was the chief guest of the workshop. Mr. Manoj Louis, General Secretary of MUCTA was the guest of honour. The Principal of St.Agnes College, Sr.Dr.M Jeswina A C Presided over the workshop. Mrs. Sabina Dsouza HOD of BBA Department was present on the dais.
The chief guest Mr. Leo Amal in the inaugural speech said that Franklin Templeton has taken the initiative to equip the students with the knowledge of various investment opportunities and also the importance of investing in mutual funds.

The guest of honour Mr. Manoj Louis addressed the students about the importance of savings in the initial stage and also created the awareness about investments.

In the presidential address Sr.Dr.M. Jeswina A C expressed her gratitude and appreciation towards MUCTA and Franklin Templeton for organising this knowledgeable workshop in the college. She also said that the students should take the opportunity and knowledge from this workshop.

The workshop had three sessions :

The first session was by Mr.Naveen Rego who spoke about Financial Literacy. He gave the students a detailed talk on inflation and investment with few videos. He made the session entertaining..

Mr. Leo Amal took over the second session and gave a talk on Time Value of Money which was educative and interactive. He explained the value of money and also its five factors.

The last session was by Mr.Yvonil Dsouza who spoke about Money Management. He explained the 6 key factors for youngsters on investment and also about the various schemes offered in mutual funds.

Ms Aysha Ashfiya compered the programme, Ms Aishwarya welcomed and Ms Zimryn thanked the gathering.
