St Agnes College Commerce Students Association( SACCSA) organised SACCSA Valedictory Programme on 21 July 2022 in the Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Seminar Hall. Mrs. Agneita Aiman Pengal, Asst Professor and Psychiatric Social Worker, Dept of Psychiatry, Nitte K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Derlakatte was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Programme.

The Valedictory Programme began with prayer led by Ms Anisha and group. Ms Sweedal Crasta of Second B.Com welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Agneita Aiman Pengal’s motivating address to the outgoing students highlighted the virtue of gratitude to parents, teachers and fellow mates.

Ms Prajna, Ms Preethi, Ms Nidhi, Ms Vinyashree, Ms Prerana and Ms Riya the rank holders in the B.Com Degree Examination of 2021 were felicitated by the Chief Guest. Ms. Preethi thanked the Department of Commerce on behalf of all Rank holders for the felicitation. Ms Ashin Fernandes an Alumna of the college was felicitated for clearing CA Final Exams and Ms Sneha Menezes, also an Alumna was felicitated for completing Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business and Affiliate Membership from ACCA, UK. Ms Ashin and Ms Sneha thanked the Department of Commerce for all the support and guidance that they received during their college days and for playing a major role in their journey towards achieving success.

Mrs Sheryl Preethika, Head of the Department of Commerce addressed the outgoing batch and wished the students the very best in life and asked them to follow three basic principles that would help them achieve success in life i.e being passionate, being committed and inculcating discipline in life.

The B.Com students who served as Cabinet members, Class Representatives, Assistant Class Representatives, Helpline Volunteers, and student Coordinators of Career Guidance Cell were honoured for serving the College and the Department of Commerce.

Ms Rithusha Harish Vice president of Commerce Stream presented a report on the activities conducted by the department during the academic year 2021-2022. Ms. Adeline Renjal of Second BCOM articulated her sentiments of love, appreciation and gratitude to her seniors. Ms Shiny and Ms Punyashree with their groups consisting of first and second B.Com students entertained the gathering with a medley of melodious songs and enthralling dances. The outgoing students rose to the occasion and shared their nostalgia through video clippings. Ms Vanessa of first B.Com proposed the vote of thanks. The Programme concluded with the singing of the College Anthem.

Sr Clera A.C the Vice Principal, Mrs Nimitha K. the Dean of Commerce and Business Administration, Mrs Sheryl Preetika Head of the Department of Commerce, Ms Anusha Noronha and Mr Abhishek the SACCSA Coordinators, Ms Ritusha Harish the Vice President of Commerce were also present.
