St. Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangalore, in association with 6 Kar Air Sqn NCC, conducted a talk (District level) on “Emerging Energy Transition” for the NCC Cadets of different institutions on 16 December 2024. The resource person was Dr R Nagesh, Dean of Humanities and Language, an ex-Army Personnel. The talk began with the highlights of emerging sources of energy, renewable sources and non-renewable sources, bioenergy, tidal and wave energy, and geothermal energy, its importance and uses. In his talk at the end, Dr Nagesh also motivated the young cadets, saying how everything could be accomplished in life through practicing simplicity, being respectful, and upholding the moral values. He also said gratitude towards the country can be expressed through healthy practices by keeping our environment eco-friendly. A total of 74 cadets from St. Aloysius Deemed to be University, St. Joseph’s Engineering College, St. Agnes PU and Degree cadets of 6 Kar Air Sqn and 18 Kar Battalion were a part of the program. PI staff of 6 Kar Air Sqn, JWO SB Singh and CPL Sachin attended the session. At the end, ANO of NCC Airwing Flying Officer Dr. Hithakshi thanked the gathering. Cdt Sgt Anusha compered the program.
