The Department of Mass Communication and Media Studies at Srinivas University organized Journographix 2025 on 20th September at 10:00 AM at the Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, Srinivas University.

Students of journalism from St Agnes College actively participated in this one-day workshop, which was conducted by Mr. Dayananda Kukkaje, a national award-winning photojournalist. During the workshop, Mr. Kukkaje explained various techniques and tricks involved in photography. He also conducted a live demonstration on camera usage, with a special focus on fashion photography, providing practical insights for aspiring photographers.

The primary objective of Journographix 2025 was to educate journalism students about cameras, photography techniques, and related aspects. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various colleges, making it a vibrant platform for showcasing talents in photography and reel-making. An exhibition displaying different types of cameras was also organized as part of the workshop.

Our students participated in the photography competition held during the event. The workshop proved to be a valuable learning experience, enhancing students’ knowledge and skills in photography. Notably, Nitya N.S., a second-year journalism student, secured first place in the photography competition, bringing pride to our college.
