The postgraduate department of Big Data Analytics, organised a hands-on technical session, “Academic Citation: Tools and Techniques”, on 31 January 2026. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Amrutha K, Assistant Professor, Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, St Agnes College, Mangaluru. Students of 1st year M.A. English and M.Sc. Big Data Analytics actively participated in the workshop.
The session successfully equipped participants with the skills to efficiently manage references and automate bibliography generation using a tool like Zotero. The session enabled participants gain practical knowledge in importing references, organizing research materials, and formatting citations across various styles to enhance academic research. The student coordinator of the workshop was Sanjana from the department of Big Data Analytics. The session concluded with the resource person highlighting the importance of producing properly cited research papers and literature reviews.
