On 26th July 2025, we made our first visit to Thumbay to familiarize ourselves with the location of the school and understand where our group will teach. This initial visit was important as it allowed us to observe the environment, assess the facilities available, and plan our teaching approach for the students.

Our second visit to Thumbay School took place from August 23rd, 2025 onwards. During this session, our primary objective was to introduce students to the basics of digital literacy, with a particular focus on creating a Gmail account and learning how to use email effectively. We engaged with a group of 14 students, dividing them into smaller groups to ensure that each learner received proper guidance and attention. The students from St Agnes College took the lead in teaching, demonstrating step-by-step procedures for creating Gmail accounts and sending emails using smartphones. By working in small groups, we were able to provide a more interactive and hands-on learning experience, which helped the students gain confidence in using these digital tools.

This visit not only enhanced the student’s technical skills but also allowed us to practice collaborative teaching and improve our ability to explain concepts in simple, practical terms. Overall, the session was successful in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-life digital application.
