The Department of Secretarial Practice organised an ‘AI Essentials Hands-on Learning’ Workshop for the I BA students on 05 December 2025 at E-Resource learning Centre, Centenary Block.

The workshop was conducted by Ms Megha Shenoy, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications. The session began with a warm welcome and introduction by Mrs. Shanthi Nazareth, Head, Department of Secretarial Practice.

Ms Megha introduced students to various AI tools and demonstrated their practical applications. The tools covered during the workshop were Google AI Studio, Text-to-Speech Tools, Gamma App, ChatGPT, Gravity Write, Gemini Deep Search, Alexa, Other AI Applications.

Using these tools, students learnt to create presentations effectively, convert text to speech, generate written content for academic and creative needs, use voice commands to interact with AI, explore innovative features for learning and productivity. The workshop provided valuable hands-on exposure and strengthened students’ understanding of modern AI applications. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Sharmila of I BA. 21 of the students and 2 of the staff benefited from this workshop.
