He then provided a clear explanation of the basics of Artificial Intelligence, distinguishing between AI and Generative AI, and elaborated on why understanding AI is crucial in today’s world. One of the highlights of his talk was the discussion on jobs being disrupted by AI. He emphasized that AI replaces specific tasks, not entire jobs, thereby opening doors to new opportunities. He highlighted emerging career paths such as AI and ML engineers, data analysts, AI trainers, prompt engineers, AI ethics and policy specialists, and human–AI collaboration roles. Mr. Azzan highlighted that AI should be viewed as a supportive tool rather than a threat. He stressed the importance of initiating upskilling without delay through ongoing learning and experimentation, and urged students to cultivate human abilities such as creativity, critical thinking, and ethical judgment that work in harmony with AI.
