The Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Chemistry successfully organized a one-day workshop on AI-Powered Tools for Effective Research Communication in Chemical Sciences for PG Chemistry students on September 22, 2025. Ms. Raga Pavithran, esteemed alumna and Research Scholar from the Department of Physical Sciences, Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, Bengaluru, was the resource person who shared her expertise on leveraging AI and infographics for impactful research communication.
The interactive session covered the use of tools like Canva, ChatGPT, OpenArt, and BioRender for creating engaging infographics. The workshop commenced at 10 am with a prayer led by Ms. Jayshree and Ms. Navya from MSc Chemistry. Dr. Sapna, HOD of the PG Department of Chemistry, extended a warm welcome to the guest and participants. Ms. Lavanya of II MSc Chemistry efficiently hosted the program. Dr. Amrutha K proposed the vote of thanks, and students from both first- and second-year MSc Chemistry provided valuable feedback, expressing their enthusiasm to apply AI tools in future conferences and research communications.
