The Department of Clinical Psychology, St. Agnes Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research, organized an alumni engagement session titled “Career Guidance – Journey from Master’s to MA Clinical Psychology (RCI)” on 28 January 2026 at 7:00 PM via Google Meet. The session aimed to provide practical insights into the transition from academic learning to clinical practice. Around 35 participants, including faculty and students from the M.Sc. Clinical Psychology and M.Sc. Psychology programs, attended the event.

The session began with a welcome address by Ms. Ashwini K. A., Head of the Department, followed by the MC by Judith Michelle Edwards and the introduction of the speaker by Ms. Anamika Krishna. The invited speaker, Ms. Diya, trainee clinical psychologist and alumna of St. Agnes, shared her journey from being a student to a trainee professional, highlighting the role of academic training, internships, and self-awareness in clinical work.

Ms. Diya spoke about essential clinical skills, preparation for competitive exams such as UGC NET and MPhil entrances, evidence-based practice, and career pathways in clinical psychology. The session was interactive, with students seeking clarity on therapeutic approaches, course structure, reference materials, and professional preparedness.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Anamika Krishna. The session ended at 8:05 PM, leaving participants with enhanced clarity, motivation, and direction for their future careers in clinical psychology.
