The Department of Clinical Psychology, organized an Alumni Interaction Session titled “Guidance for NET & KSET” on 31 January 2026 at 11:00 AM in the L3 Classroom. The session aimed to guide clinical psychology students on preparing for the NET and KSET examinations and to provide insights into academic career pathways.

The resource person for the session was Ms. Jaimy Johnson, Assistant Professor and an alumna of the department batch (2022-2024, who has successfully qualified  KSETand NET examination with a 99 percentile. During the session, she shared her personal academic journey and preparation strategies that helped her achieve success in these competitive examinations.

Ms. Jaimy emphasized the importance of conceptual clarity in core psychology subjects and encouraged students to begin their preparation early. She advised students to refer to standard textbooks, revise important theories regularly, and practice previous years’ question papers to understand the pattern of the examination. She also highlighted the need for consistent study schedules, effective time management, and making short notes for quick revision.

She further suggested that students should focus on understanding topics rather than memorizing them, and should regularly test themselves through mock tests and self-assessment. She also motivated students to stay disciplined, maintain confidence, and manage stress during the preparation period.

The session concluded on a positive note, leaving students better informed and motivated to prepare for NET and KSET examinations.
