The programme began with a prayer, followed by the welcome and introduction of the chief guest, Mr. Jeeth Milan Roche, Secretary of Vana Charitable Trust, a committed environmentalist known for his large-scale tree plantation, urban forest development, and waste management initiatives. The Vice Principal welcomed the guest with a sapling, symbolizing sustainability.
A significant highlight of the event was the symbolic disposal of e-waste items and footwear into designated collection boxes by the dignitaries. This act emphasized the importance of responsible waste management, environmental sustainability, and community welfare. In his address, Mr. Jeeth Milan Roche appreciated the efforts of the college in promoting responsible citizenship among students. He stressed the importance of conscious consumption, proper waste segregation, and environmental stewardship.
The Vote of Thanks acknowledged the guidance of the Principal and Vice Principal, the collaboration of Vana Charitable Trust, and the dedicated efforts of faculty, support staff, and students – especially the Departments of Computer Science and Computer Applications for successfully organizing the drives.
