The Postgraduate Departments of Computer Applications (MCA) and Business Administration (MBA) jointly organized a PGCET Coaching Programme on the 2nd and 3rd of June, 2025. The aim was to equip students preparing for the Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test), a vital examination for admission into postgraduate courses. A total of 150 students actively took part in this two-day training session.

The programme began at 9:30 AM and was formally inaugurated by Mr. Abhilash Kshatriya, Director of Abhijinya Education Pvt. Ltd. and a certified coach, in the presence of the institution’s President, Sr Dr M Venessa AC, and PG Coordinator Sr M Vinora AC. Mr. Abhilash delivered an inspiring address based on the theme “IMPROVE,” highlighting the importance of personal growth and preparation strategies. As a token of appreciation, Sr M Vinora AC presented a memento to Mr. Abhilash. The inaugural function concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mallika Shetty.

Day 1 Highlights (2nd June 2025):

  • The programme started with the inaugural ceremony at 9:30 AM where the dignitaries welcomed the participants and outlined the goals of the coaching.
  • From 10:15 to 11:45 AM, a session on Reasoning and General Intelligence was conducted by Mr. Abhilash. It helped students enhance their logical thinking and reasoning skills, crucial for PGCET.
  • The next session, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM, was divided into two parallel tracks: Quantitative Analysis for MBA aspirants handled by Mr. Abhilash, and Mathematics for MCA aspirants led by Mrs. Panchajanyeshwari. These sessions focused on strengthening core numerical and analytical abilities.
  • After lunch, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM, Mrs. Sheryl Preethika conducted a session on Proficiency in English Language, aiming to build vocabulary, comprehension, and grammar skills relevant for the exam.

Day 2 Highlights (3rd June 2025):

  • The second day opened with a session on General Knowledge from 9:30 to 11:00 AM by Mr. Chaco P J, updating students on current affairs and static GK.
  • After a tea break, the final session from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM focused on Computer Awareness, conducted by Mrs. Akshatha Shetty. This session was particularly relevant for MCA aspirants, covering fundamental to intermediate computer concepts.
