St Agnes College (Autonomous) department of Psychology organized a career guidance session for all the psychology students on 8 April 2025. The session began with a prayer song led by II year students, followed by a welcome speech by Thanmayee Bhat from II BA. The session was aimed at guiding the students and making them aware of the choices they have in the field of psychology. The resource persons of the session were Mr. Paul Parlees and Mr. Aditya Shetty Jnana, both, delivered insightful talks. Mr. Parlees explored the question “Why Psychology?” and discussed the major fields of psychology, while Mr. Aditya highlighted the impact of social dilemmas on our attention and emphasized the importance of behavior science in psychology. On the whole, both of them succeeded in creating fascination and at the same time helped the students by giving clarity and insights for their future career selection in the field of Psychology. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Nada from II BA and was commenced by Prathwi from II BSc.
