The event was organized by the NSS units, NCC Wings, and the Sports Association of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. The program aimed to create awareness about the importance of yoga in promoting holistic health and environmental harmony. The highlight of the celebration was a practical yoga session led by Mr. Kushalappa Gowda, a renowned yoga therapist, practitioner, and trainer from Mangaluru.
A total of 115 students from the NSS, NCC, and Sports Association actively participated in the session. The program commenced with a prayer, adhering to the protocol established for International Yoga Day celebrations. Mr. Gowda enlightened the gathering by elaborating on various aspects of yoga and its beneficial influence on both body and mind. He emphasized the significance of incorporating yoga into daily life as a means to maintain peace, health, and mental clarity. During the session, Mr. Gowda demonstrated and guided the participants through key yoga asanas that are instrumental in enhancing concentration, reducing stress, and promoting tension-free living. His insights underscored yoga’s role in maintaining a balanced and harmonious lifestyle.
