Nearly 157 third degree ATC students took part in this drive. They were divided into nine batches and were assigned a specific stretch. The individual batches were accompanied by the respective teachers in-charge. This activity was conducted to create an awareness among the students and local public about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in public places and community areas.
The drive was inaugurated by Mr Naveen D’Souza, Corporator, Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) near the college entrance gate. He appreciated this initiative taken up by the ATC group and encouraged students to be a part of more such service activities. He also requested the students’ co-operation in maintaining Mangalore, A Clean and Green City. The dignitaries present on the occasion included Sr Dr M Venissa AC, the Principal, Sr Dr Roopa Rodrigues AC, the Vice Principal and Sr Dr Vinora AC, the PG Coordinator, Dr Shailaja Rai, the ATC Coordinator. The programme was compered by Khateeja Nada of III BA.
The entire drive was conducted smoothly with the assistance of the Municipality Workers provided by the Corporator.
