Agnes Towards Community, an outreach initiative of St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, was carried out by the III BBA students under the guidance of the staff in-charge, Ms. Archana, in collaboration with Dr. Lavina, National Oral Health Policy Nodal Officer, Dakshina Kannada organized a Kannada Elocution Competition at St. Mary’s Primary School, Falnir.

The elocution competition was conducted with the objective of encouraging confidence, communication skills, and interest in the Kannada language among primary school students. The event provided a valuable platform for young students to showcase their speaking skills.

In addition to the elocution competition, the III BBA students of St. Agnes College conducted an interactive awareness session titled “Hygiene to Happiness” for the school children. The session focused on the importance of personal hygiene, healthy habits, and overall well-being in a child-friendly and engaging manner.

To make the session more lively and effective, various games and fun activities were organized.

The programme was well received by the school authorities and students. It successfully combined education with entertainment and awareness, thereby fulfilling the objectives of community service and student engagement. The event stood as a meaningful step towards promoting language skills, hygiene awareness, and social responsibility among young learners.
