On 23 August 2026, as part of the Agnes Towards Community initiative, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organised a workshop on “Digital Empowerment for Sustainable Livelihood” for the Self-Help Group members of Harekala Grama.
The session focused on digital awareness, financial literacy, and awareness about digital arrest and online frauds. Mrs Vineetha and Ms Prinisha Vegas were the staff in-charge, along with the students of III B. Com Regular and III B. Com Business Analytics.
The highlight of the session was the practical demonstration of bouquet making and cupcake making, which encouraged the Self-Help Group members to explore simple small-business and income-generating opportunities. The participants actively engaged in the demonstrations and were motivated to use their skills and digital platforms to promote their products and build sustainable livelihoods.
