On account of Shiksha Saptah , the Department of Microbiology in collaboration with the CBSE board organized an extension activity on the topic Drinking safe water for the students of St Agnes CBSE school on 26 JULY 2024.
The faculty of the department of Microbiology along with the final year students took up sessions on safe drinking water, types of microorganisms in water, microbiological analysis of water, purification of drinking water etc.
The CBSE students also learnt the different apparatus in the microbiology lab and observed various microorganisms using microscope.
Around 24 students of ninth and tenth class were the beneficiaries of this program.
