The department of Business Administration at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised a workshop to promote environmental awareness and hands-on creativity on “EcoWrap: Creative and Sustainable Gift Wrapping” for II & III BBA students. The resource Ms Sabina Binu, Homemaker & Environmental Artisian, Mangaluru, & Ms Sharon Dsouza, Chair of Climate Action vertical, Yi Mangaluru introduced students to the Japanese art of Furoshiki, a traditional method of wrapping gifts using fabric instead of disposable paper and plastic. Students explored various folding and knotting techniques, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and zero-waste practices in everyday life. The workshop encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits while enhancing their aesthetic sense and cultural appreciation. It concluded with a display of student-created wraps, showcasing innovation, elegance, and environmental responsibility. The programme was compered by Ms Apoorva C R, Mr Nikith Kumar welcomed the gathering and Ms Rasha proposed the Vote of thanks.
