The Department of Clinical Psychology organized an intensive and highly engaging three-hour guest lecture on Family Therapy, on 12th July 2025 at PG auditorium facilitated by Dr. Rameela Shekar Director of Manashanthi Counseling, Training and Research Centre, Mangaluru.

The session was a profound learning experience, combining didactic teaching, reflective sharing, and experiential learning. Dr. Shekar adopted an integrative and participatory approach to explain core concepts of family therapy such as systemic thinking, intergenerational patterns, role dynamics, and communication styles. Through group activities, participants were encouraged to identify personal and familial challenges, examine life trajectories, and formulate therapeutic goals demonstrating the importance of insight, empathy, and structured intervention.
