The PG Department of English at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized a Flash Fiction competition, an event designed to challenge participants’ creativity and storytelling abilities on 19 August 2024, in room no L9 at 2.30 pm. The competition, aptly named “Flash Fiction,” required each participant to craft a short story inspired by a given object. For this , the object provided was a torn and worn out pair of slippers, adding an intriguing and unconventional element to the challenge. The judging criterias were focused on creativity, narrative flow, and the effective use of the object in the story.
A total of 31 participants, from both Undergraduate and Postgraduate departments, took part in the competition.
The competition showcased the literary talents of students from different academic backgrounds, contributing to a vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment. The winners were :
