Our College organised Freshers’ Day – 2k25 on 19 July 2025 at the Centenary Auditorium, with the aim of welcoming the first-year students into the Agnesian family and providing them a platform to showcase their talents. The theme for the event was “Drama Damaal Dosti”, which highlighted the joy, energy, and friendships that college life brings.

The formal programme began with a prayer, invoking God’s blessings for a successful academic year. The occasion was graced by the presence of Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C., Principal; Sr Dr Roopa Rodrigues A.C., Vice Principal; and Sr Carmel Rita A.C., Administrator, along with faculty members and enthusiastic freshers from various streams.

Leading up to the day, a Fresher’s Week was organised, where students participated in a variety of fun and engaging competitionssuch as Traitors, Scavenger Hunt, Art Doodling, Singing, Reel Making, Dance Off, and Physical Challenge. On the day of the celebration, each class presented creative performances reflecting the theme, through dance, drama, and music. The Variety Competition saw energetic and colourful performances from all classes, with First year B.Sc emerging as the winners. The Overall Championship was awarded to First year BBA for their outstanding participation throughout the week.
A major highlight of the day was the Mr and Ms Fresher contest. After much excitement and participation, Abdul Lateef Bashil and Ruth Abigail were crowned Mr Fresher and Ms Fresher, and were awarded trophies, certificates, and crowns for their achievement.

The Principal, Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C., addressed the gathering and congratulated all the winners and participants. She encouraged the freshers to make the most of every opportunity and to carry forward the spirit of Agnes with pride and confidence.

The programme was hosted with enthusiasm by Khushi Shetty and Carol Rodrigues, who kept the audience engaged throughout. The welcome address was delivered by Anvitha Shetty, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Velisha Serrao, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.

The entire programme was a joyful beginning for the new academic year and created beautiful memories for all the freshers, marking the start of their journey at St Agnes with drama, damaal, and dosti.
