The Postgraduate department of Big Data Analytics organised an Alumni Interaction on 13 December 2025 with Omkar Herala I, who is employed as a Clinical Programmer at IQVIA, Bengaluru. The session aimed at guiding the students in career opportunities and placement preparation. The session began with a welcome and introduction of Omkar. Omkar, an alumni of the Big Data Analytics department highlighted the placement prospects in Data Analytics and outlined the different industry roles open to graduates of the Data Analytics programme. He also spoke about his preparation for placements and the skills needed to succeed in interviews.
The session was conducted as part of “The Alumni Speaks” initiative for alumni to stay connected with their alma mater and also to mentor and guide the students towards career opportunities. The session concluded with an inspiring note encouraging the students to remain inquisitive and dedicated to continuous learning.
