The Department of History organised a Commemorative session entitled “Gandhian Mass mobilization: Psychological Perspective” on11 December 2025. Mrs Vinatha K. Former Associate Professor and HOD of Psychology St Agnes College (Autonomous) was the resource person for the session. Mrs Vinatha K. delivered an engaging and informative lecture that correlated the field of Psychology with history. The session began with a brief introduction to the concept of Mass mobilization, as a Psychological tool used by leaders to organise mass movements, the session provided valuable insights into Psychological interpretation on Historical narratives and offered students a deeper appreciation for interdisciplinary approach.

The session was interactive, with students actively participating in the activities relating to leadership and mobilization. Mrs Vinatha provided thoughtful and well-articulated interpretations encouraging further inquiry and critical thinking among the students. The session was organised by Dr Meera, Associate Professor and HOD, History.

The session was compered by Ms Jenni, Ms Jaffrin welcomed the gathering and vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Sampoorna As a gesture of gratitude, Dr Meera presented a token of appreciation to Mrs Vinatha for sharing her expertise through an insightful session.
