The PG Department of Computer Applications (MCA), organized a vibrant and engaging General Assembly for PG students on 24th September 2025 at 9:00 AM in the Seminar Hall to mark the celebration of Dussehra Vaibhava. The program showcased student talent, creativity, and cultural heritage.

The program was compered by Ms. Keerthana, who guided the proceedings smoothly. The event began with a song performance by Ms. Riya and team, setting a pleasant tone for the celebration. This was followed by the welcome address delivered by Ms. Rashmi, Vice President of the Students’ Council, who extended warm greetings to the dignitaries, faculty, and students. To highlight the importance of the occasion, Mr. Nishant shared his reflections on the cultural significance of Navarathri.

The cultural segment formed the highlight of the program. A lively Garba dance brought festive cheer to the gathering, followed by a melodious musical performance by Ms. Krithika and team. The students then presented Pili Nalike (Tiger Dance), a traditional folk performance of coastal Karnataka, which impressed the audience with its energy and authenticity.

The assembly also featured the distribution of prizes for various competitions conducted by the department. The awards were presented by Sr. Dr. M. Vinora A.C., PG Coordinator, who congratulated the winners on their achievements. The cultural journey concluded with a dramatic dance drama on the battle of Mahishasura Mardini, depicting the triumph of courage and strength over challenges.

The program ended with an address by Sr. Dr. M. Vinora A.C., who commended the efforts of the students in organizing a well-coordinated event and encouraged them to continue nurturing creativity, teamwork, and leadership. The Dussehra Vaibhava General Assembly was a successful and memorable event. With its mix of cultural performances, creative expression, and recognition of student achievements, the program highlighted the talent and enthusiasm of the MCA students while celebrating the spirit of togetherness and festivity.
