The event was graciously led by Dr. Balika, Vice Principal of SDM Law College, who served as the distinguished speaker. Her insightful discourse covered various aspects of women’s legal rights, including property rights, protection against harassment, and legal avenues for justice. The session also included an interactive segment where participants’ questions were addressed, enhancing understanding and awareness. Mrs. Gayathri, Head of the Department of Political Science, served as the coordinator for the program, ensuring smooth organization and engagement. The event saw the active participation of 189 students from the college, who benefitted immensely from the session.
Esteemed faculty members, including the Dean of Arts, Dr. R. Nagesh and other faculty members, were present, contributing to the success of the program.
The legal awareness session was a significant step towards promoting gender equality and empowering women through legal literacy at St. Agnes College.
