The Department of Hindi, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru celebrated Hindi Divas on 28 September 2022, commemorating the National Language of the country.
Dr Dimple Jenifer Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Head of the Department of Hindi, St Philomena College, Puttur, was the chief guest for the programme. The programme commenced with a prayer song. Dr Shailaja Rai, Head of the Department of Hindi, welcomed the Chief Guest and appraised the gathering about the beauty and significance of Hindi language.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and told the importance of Hindi as a language and the major role played by the youth for the development of our Nation.
Various competitions like quiz were organized by the Department of Hindi during the Hindi Divas week. The students who won in these competitions were given prize during this programme. Dr Uday Kumar B was present during the programme. Dr R Nagesh, Dean of Arts, rendered the votes of thanks.
