On the occasion of National Wildlife Day, a Poetry Writing Competition was organized on 23 September 2024 with the objective of creating awareness about wildlife conservation through creative expression. The theme of the competition was “Human–Wildlife Conflict,” focusing on the growing challenges faced by both humans and wildlife due to habitat loss, urbanization, and environmental imbalance.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who expressed their thoughts, concerns, and emotions through poetry. The poems reflected diverse perspectives on coexistence, conservation, ethical responsibility, habitat destruction, and the need for sustainable development. Participants effectively used literary elements such as imagery, metaphor, and emotion to portray the struggles and conflicts arising between humans and wildlife.

The entries were evaluated by a panel of judges based on relevance to the theme, originality, creativity, language, and emotional impact. The judges appreciated the depth of understanding and sensitivity shown by the participants toward wildlife issues and conservation efforts.
