The PG Department of Business Administration (MBA) organized an industrial visit for first-year MBA students to Dakshina Kannada District Cooperative Milk Producers Societies Union Limited (Nandini Dairy, Kulasekhara, Mangaluru) on 20th March 2025.

Nandini Dairy is a unit of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), which was established in 1974 with the objective of promoting dairy farming and improving the livelihood of farmers. The Kulasekhara unit is an important centre for milk collection, processing, and distribution, ensuring that high-quality dairy products reach consumers while supporting the rural economy.

The visit was led by faculty members Mr. Chaco and Mr. Roopesh, who guided the students in understanding the practical aspects of dairy operations.

Objective of the Visit

  • To understand the dairy production process, from milk procurement to final product distribution.
  • To learn about quality control measures in dairy processing.
  • To explore the different dairy products manufactured by Nandini Dairy.
  • To gain insights into storage, packaging, and waste management in the dairy industry.
  • To understand the role of cooperative networks in dairy farming.
