The postgraduate department of Big Data Analytics at St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangaluru organised a technical session “Industry Assessment of Student Programming Skills“ on 29 September 2025 with Industry representatives, Ms. Pragathi Puthran, HR & Training Head and Mr. N Pranav, Operation Manager from Kakunje Software Private Limited, Mangaluru. Students of 1st year and 2nd year M.Sc. Big Data Analytics actively participated in the session.
The session included a skill test to evaluate a candidate’s readiness for internships in Industry beyond theoretical knowledge. The assessment determined practical proficiency in data manipulation, visualization, and statistical analysis using Python programming language. The session concluded with the resource persons highlighting the need for proficient programming skills in Python, an indispensable tool across diverse industries.
