The inaugural of the Job Fair 2025 held at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore in collaboration with AISECT Ltd, commenced with enthusiasm and anticipation on 11 April 2025. The event was organized to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering students an opportunity to connect with potential employers.

The session began with a warm welcome address by Dr Mallika B Shetty, Assistant Professor in the Department of MBA, who set the tone for the day by highlighting the importance of such platforms in empowering students for their career journeys.

The Master of Ceremonies, Ms. Keerthishree, Assistant Professor, Department of Nutrition and Health Education, efficiently conducted the proceedings and ensured the smooth flow of the program.

The event was graced by distinguished guests. The Chief Guest, Mr. GokuldasNayak, Joint Director, Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the role of youth in driving the state’s industrial growth and the government’s initiatives in supporting employment and entrepreneurship.

SrDr M. Venissa A.C., the Principal of St Agnes College (Autonomous), encouraged students to make the best use of the opportunities presented to them in the College and seek employment with renowned recruiters.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Shivaprasad K.M., Co-founder and Executive Director of Disciples Corporate School, spoke about the evolving job market and the skills that students should develop to remain competitive and confident in professional spaces.

Also present on the stage were Sr Dr Maria Roopa A.C., Joint Secretary of St Agnes Institutions; Sr Carmel Rita A.C., the College Administrator, and Mr. Nelson D’Mello, the Placement Officer, who have been instrumental in organizing the job fair and facilitating student-industry interaction.

The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Juana, Assistant Professor of Postgraduate Department of English, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, staff, and students for their valuable contributions to the success of the event.

The inaugural session set a vibrant and purposeful tone for the rest of the day, paving the way for productive interactions between students and recruiters.

Following the inaugural ceremony, the job fair proceeded with the interview sessions. A total of 50 companies from various sectors participated in the event, offering a wide range of opportunities to the attendees. The recruitment teams engaged in on-the-spot interviews, assessments, and interactions with prospective candidates throughout the day.
