The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, organized an educational visit to the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa from 26-28 November 2025. A team of 23 students accompanied by two faculty members attended the festival, gaining valuable exposure to global cinema and film culture.

The visit offered students a unique opportunity to watch critically acclaimed films from India and around the world, interact with filmmakers, and understand the evolving landscape of film production, distribution, and storytelling. Through screenings, masterclasses, and panel discussions, students experienced how cinema plays an important role in shaping society and reflecting cultural narratives.

The festival visit enhanced students’ understanding of visual storytelling an essential component of journalism and media education. It also encouraged critical thinking, creative exploration, and appreciation of diverse cinematic styles.
