The programme was compered by Lakshmi and Arsh, final-year degree students, who welcomed the gathering and smoothly conducted the proceedings.
The Principal, Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C., addressed the gathering and conveyed her message to the students. She highlighted the importance of celebrating cultural traditions and encouraged the students to participate enthusiastically in activities that promote unity, togetherness and appreciation of our rich cultural heritage.
A vibrant Chende performance by Thrairoopini Chende, Surathkal, added to the festive spirit of the celebration. The traditional performance created an energetic and lively atmosphere and was well received by the students and staff.
As part of the celebration, a Tug of War competition was also organised, providing students with an opportunity to participate in a fun-filled and energetic activity while promoting teamwork, camaraderie and sportsmanship.
The celebration provided an opportunity for students and faculty to come together and enjoy the festive spirit of Onam, fostering a sense of unity, togetherness and cultural appreciation among the Agnesian family.
Ms. Anamika Santhosh, Student Coordinator, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Principal, faculty coordinators, Student Council, students and everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of the celebration.
The Kalikha Onam Celebration concluded on a joyful and festive note, leaving the students and staff with memorable moments of togetherness and celebration.
The celebration was organised to commemorate the spirit and cultural richness of Onam, bringing together students and faculty in an atmosphere of joy, unity and festivity. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the faculty coordinators, Mrs. Shobha P and Mrs. Nimitha K, with the active involvement of the Student Council.
