On 22-03-2025, Computer club organized a session on Mental Health Awareness at BCA Lab. The session was conducted by the Resource person Ayona Johnson, II MSc Psycology Student of St Agnes College (Autonomous). Ayona Johnson also introduced the Navachethana Wellness Centre, explaining the services it provides to support mental well-being.
The session covered:
- Understanding Mental Health: Differences between mental health and illness, myths, and stigma.
- Recognizing Distress Signs: Early indicators of anxiety, depression, and stress.
- Coping Mechanisms: Mindfulness, journaling, and breathing exercises.
- Seeking Help: Importance of professional and peer support.
