The Department of Physics of St Agnes College (Autonomous) organised a model making competition for St Agnes College students on 7 February 2020, as part of centenary activities.

The competition was organised with a motive of creating interest in science and to build a competitive spirit among the students. It was also hands on learning platform, where students got an opportunity to present their own science models.

The Judges for the competition were Sr Gloria D’ Souza A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry P.G., and Mrs Vidya Saraswathi, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, St Agnes College. Ten teams participated in the competition.

The programme began with a short inaugural wherein a group of final year students invoked God’s blessing through a prayer song. Ms Shaima welcomed the Judges and the gathering. The participants enthusiastically presented their models. MsAishwarya proposed the vote of thanks.
Ms Rishika and Ms Simran Naik won the first place. Ms Vaishnavi M and Ms Kavya Salianwon the second place and the third place was secured bySr Nishmitha D’ Souza and MsPreetha Jennifer.
