SEMESTA 2019 one of the most awaited Intercollegiate National Level Fest organised by St. Agnes College (Autonomous) on 10 January 2019 with the tagline ‘The Power of Universe Lies in You’ was organized with a aim to celebrate student life through colours and create a platform for students to showcase their talents on the college campus with the hope of encouraging student fellowship and talent sharing.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a prayer lead by Ms. Ananya and group. Chief Guest Ms. Aroona Bhatt, TEDX Speaker, Image Consultant and Film Producer inaugurated the fest. Staff co-ordinator Dr. Nancy Vaz, Department of Secretarial Practice welcomed and introduced the Chief Guest. Sr. Dr. M. Jeswina A.C, Principal of the college, presided over the function. Student President Ms. Ladleen Monteiro briefed the audience about SEMESTA 2019.
Chief Guest Ms. Aroona Bhatt addressed the gathering and spoke beautifully on the values that life teaches. Principal Dr. Sr. Jeswina also welcomed the gathering and filled the participants with motivation in her presidential address.
There were 16 teams from different colleges which participated in the fest. The valedictory was held at 5.30 p.m. Mrs. Geanette D’souza, Vice President, Agnesian Alumni Association was the chief guest and distributed the prizes. SDM College Mangaluru won the Over-all Trophy of SEMESTA 2019.
