The Department of Physics organized an Outreach Program during the National Level Botany workshop. A total of five PU colleges participated in the workshop and visited the Department of Physics. During their visit, our undergraduate students actively engaged with the visitors. The students of B.Sc. Physics demonstrated a series of simple yet impactful physics experiments, including optics demonstrations such as LASER diffraction, dispersion, Newton’s ring, Diffraction by Grating, mechanics experiments, electricity etc.

These demonstrations were designed to be interactive, encouraging questions and hands-on participation from the PU students. Faculty members guided the sessions and explained the scientific concepts behind each experiment, helping bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application.

The outreach initiative received an enthusiastic response from the students of the visiting PU colleges. Many appreciated the effort and expressed interest in collaborating for similar programs in the future.

The Department of Physics plans to continue such outreach activities to strengthen science communication and promote higher education in physics among school and college students.
