A total of 22 students from standards 1st to 7th of the participated in the event. Our college students, along with a teacher in-charge, visited the school and began the programme with a warm welcome speech. They then shared some informative points about the environment, its importance, and how we can contribute to keeping it green and clean.
To create a lively and engaging atmosphere, a college student performed a song dedicated to nature. This was followed by fun games and a quiz session for the school children, designed to educate them in an interactive way.
One of the highlights of the event was a hand painting activity, where the school children creatively used their hand and thumb prints to create an image of the Earth. This activity not only brought out their artistic skills but also left a lasting impression about the beauty and fragility of our planet.
Finally, the main part of the event took place — the plantation drive. College students, hand in hand with the school children, planted saplings on the school campus. The activity fostered a spirit of teamwork and environmental responsibility among all participants.
The event was a joyful and meaningful experience for both college and school students. It was a small step towards a greener tomorrow and helped instill in young minds the value of trees and nature. Through the ATC initiative, our college continues to promote active involvement in social and environmental causes.
