The students and staff of Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, St. Agnes College (Autonomous) attended an awareness program  organized by Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bunder, Mangaluru on December 12, 2025. The session was enriching as participants were aware of the scheme as well as came to know food processing products with packaging and labelling is a mandate to avail this scheme. This initiative was started by government of India in 2020-2021 to support micro enterprises. Statistics revealed out of 444 application received 440 application was approved with 42 crore sanctioned with businesses like bakery, coconut-based units, fruit processed unit, and rice mills products.
