On 9th August 2025, the Department of Clinical Psychology at St Agnes Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research organized Capacity Building programme on Professional Etiquettes and Netiquettes, conducted by Mrs. Panchajanyeshwari, Assistant Professor and Head of the MCA Department. The session focused on understanding the importance of professionalism in both physical and digital communication.

Mrs. Panchajanyeshwari discussed the concept of netiquettes—the correct and respectful way of communicating and behaving online—and its relevance in professional and academic environments. She elaborated on professionalism in various areas, including email communication, highlighting the need for clarity, appropriate language, and proper formatting; WhatsApp communication, emphasizing respect for boundaries and concise, purposeful messaging; social media usage, focusing on maintaining a professional image and being mindful of public posts; and presentation skills, underlining the importance of clear delivery, structured content, and professional conduct while presenting. The session was interactive, with practical examples and real-life scenarios discussed. Students were encouraged to share their experiences with digital communication, which helped bridge theory with everyday practice.

The session provided students with valuable insights into how professional behaviour, both online and offline, can impact their reputation, relationships, and career growth. The session concluded with an interactive discussion where participants shared their challenges in maintaining professionalism online. Overall, the session provided valuable insights into building a respectful, effective, and professional image across different communication platforms, which is crucial for academic, workplace, and personal success.
