St. Agnes College organized the celebration of Rani Abbaka’s 500th Jayanthi in the college campus with great respect and enthusiasm. The program was held to honor the memory of the brave queen Rani Abbaka, who is remembered for her courage, patriotism, and leadership in protecting her land.

The program began with a prayer, creating a solemn and respectful atmosphere. This was followed by a welcome speech by Dr. Shelja Rai, who warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the distinguished chief guests, Dr. Murlidar Nayak and Dr. Dayanand Nayak. After this, Dr. Nagaratna Rao gave a brief talk highlighting the importance of the session and the legacy of Rani Abbaka.

The traditional lamp lighting ceremony marked the formal inauguration of the program. Following this, Dr. Murlidar Nayak delivered an inspiring speech and shared his views on the courage and contributions of Rani Abbaka. Later, Dr. Dayanand Nayak addressed the audience and narrated the story of Rani Abbaka, highlighting her fearless fight against foreign powers. His words brought alive her bravery and dedication towards her people.

The Principal of St. Agnes College, Dr. M. Venissa A.C., also spoke on the occasion. In her address, she emphasized the importance of remembering great leaders like Rani Abbaka and encouraged the students to imbibe the values of courage, patriotism, and leadership in their own lives.

The session came to a close with the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the guests and participants. The program concluded with the singing of the National Song, leaving the audience inspired by the legacy of Rani Abbaka.
