The Department of Business Administration organized a workshop titled “Speak, Analyse and Win: A Guide to Group Discussion” for the I BBA students on 11 September 2025. The main objective of the workshop was to introduce students to the fundamentals of Group Discussion (GD), an essential skill for campus placements, competitive exams, and entrance interviews. Prof Gerad Dsouza began with an overview of the purpose and importance of GDs in academic and professional contexts. Students were taught key elements such as clear communication, logical reasoning, team collaboration, and assertiveness. The resource person emphasized the do’s and don’ts of participating in a GD, and demonstrated techniques for initiating, moderating, and concluding discussions effectively. The workshop not only improved their understanding of group discussions but also boosted their self-confidence and communication abilities.
In conclusion, the “Speak, Analyse and Win” workshop was a highly beneficial initiative that successfully equipped the I BBA students with essential GD skills.
