The PG Department of Business Administration (MBA) organized the “Splash of Colours 2.0” event for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of St Agnes College (Autonomous) on March 27th, 2025. The event took place at the PG Auditorium, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.

The event was scheduled for a single day and included four distinct activities:

  1. A2 Aqua Artistry (T-Shirt painting)
  2. Chitramandala (Mandala Art)
  3. Ratna Anveshan (Treasure Hunt)
  4. Pitch Palette (Shooter & Seller)

1. A2 Aqua Artistry: The first event, Aqua Artistry, took place in Room LH-01 at 1:50 pm, where seven teams participated. The event was coordinated by Ashwini from II MBA and Keerthana from IMBA. This competition focused on artistic expression using water-based colors, allowing participants to showcase their creativity and painting skills. The event duration was one hour, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Participants were provided with T-shirts, while all other necessary materials were to be brought by them. The use of pre-made designs or stencils was strictly prohibited. Judging criteria included creativity, originality, and relevance. Theme

2. Chitramandala (Mandala Art): The Chitramandala event took place in Centenary Block, Room LH-08. The event was coordinated by Sherly from II MBA and Anwith from I MBA with four participants. The allotted time for the competition was one hour, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Participants were responsible for bringing their own art and no digital devices were allowed for reference. Judging criteria included creativity & uniqueness, symmetry & precision, complexity of design & overall presentation.

3. Ratna Anveshan (Treasure Hunt): The Treasure Hunt added an adventurous twist to the event. The first round was conducted on March 26, 2025, with 17 teams. The final round conducted on March 27, 2025, featured the top five teams, each comprising four members, competing to decipher clues and solve puzzles to reach the final prize. The event was conducted by Salman from II MBA and Athmika from I MBA. Stealing or hiding other teams’ clues or treasures was strictly prohibited. Team members were asked to stay together throughout the game and splitting up was not allowed. The event took place throughout the campus and concluded at 3:00 pm.

4. Pitch Palette (Shooter & Seller): Pitch Palette was held in Room LH-03, and judged by Mr. Roopesh and Mr. Chaco. Seven teams participated in this competition, where they had to sell an old phone case creatively, demonstrating their entrepreneurial and marketing abilities. The event concluded at 3:30 PM. The event follows a structured format where each team is given a product at the beginning, ensuring fairness by distributing products simultaneously to all participants. The competition comprises only one round, during which participants can use personal gadgets such as cameras, smartphones, and tripods to create promotional materials. Selling must be conducted strictly in a face-to-face manner, prohibiting online transactions. Additionally, promotional videos must be at least one minute long, and teams must efficiently manage their time within the one-hour limit to complete both shooting and selling tasks. The use of fake voice memes in videos is prohibited, and English is the mandatory language for all presentations. Event coordinators were Iona from II MBA and Esha from I MBA.

The valedictory program commenced at 3:30 pm, beginning with a prayer song led by Fabian and the team, invoking God’s blessings for the success of the event. The ceremony was graced by several esteemed guests, including Sr Dr M Venessa A.C. The principal; Sr Dr M. Vinora A.C. PG Coordinator; Prof Gerard, Mentor for MBA; and Ms. Sheryl Preethika, HOD. Ashir from II MBA extended a warm welcome to all attendees.

The event progressed with the prize distribution, where Vinston the vice president of MBA announced the winners. The runners-up for Aqua Artistry were Sheikh Muskan from II MCom and Fathima Rifa from I MCom, and the winners were Viyola Fernandes and Abhilash from II MCA. In Chitramandala (Mandala Art), Vaishnavi Sanjay Pawar from III BCom CMA was the runners-up, and Deepashree from II MCA emerged as the winner. The Pitch Palette (Shooter and Seller) runner-up team consisted of Tripti and Derisha from III BCom ACCA, while Sahana and Glenita from III BCom were the winners. The winners of Ratna Anveshan (Treasure Hunt) were Sinchana, Shruthi, Vaishnavi and Keerthana. The runners-up of the quiz were Alric and Samuel from II BCom and the winners were Mahima and Samantha from II BCA.

The “Splash of Colours 2.0” event concluded on a high note, with Neeha of II MBA delivering the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, participants, and organizers for their invaluable contributions to the event’s success.

The event was a grand success, with active participation and great enthusiasm from students. Each competition provided a platform for students to showcase their skills, whether in creativity, marketing, or teamwork. The event coordinators, judges, and volunteers ensured smooth execution, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
