On 6 August 2025, the Department of Business Administration conducted an extension activity on the topic “Spoken English” at DKZP Shree Jnanodaya Lower Primary School, Hoigebazar. The objective of this activity was to help children develop basic spoken English skills in an engaging and interactive manner.
The session began with a fun group activity where students were given a word and asked to draw it, helping them associate English vocabulary with visual elements. This was followed by a teaching session led by Ms. Poorvi, who introduced the children to simple self-introduction sentences, including how to say their name, place, class, and a few other basic details in English.
To reinforce the learning and maintain enthusiasm, a few interactive games were conducted after the lesson. The children were highly enthusiastic and actively participated throughout the session. They not only enjoyed the activities but also gained valuable confidence and practical speaking skills.
Overall, it was a meaningful and enjoyable experience for both the facilitators and the students, effectively combining learning with fun.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Sameeksha, who expressed gratitude to the school authorities, students, and all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and support in making the event successful.
