The Department of Statistics and Data Science organised a session on “Transforming Data to Actionable Intelligence” was conducted on 05 February 2026 at 1:30 PM in A2 Hall for all Statistics and Data Science students. The resource person was Ms. Bhoomika U, Senior Associate Consultant – AI Domain, Infosys, Mudipu. The session focused on how organizations convert raw data into meaningful and actionable insights using modern big data and cloud technologies. She provided an overview of tools and platforms such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and NoSQL databases, explaining their role in large-scale data processing, cloud-based analytics, and handling unstructured data. She also highlighted real-time industry applications, the importance of AI-driven decision-making, and the skills required to succeed in the data analytics domain. The session was informative, interactive, and highly beneficial for students, helping them understand the practical implementation of big data technologies in industry.
