A Seminar on “Unlock Your Future with Data Analytics” was delivered by Ms. Relisha Dsouza, Asst Prof of MSc. Big Data Analytics on March 11th for third year BCA batch students of St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. She began by introducing the concept of big data and its growing significance in various industries. The session highlighted the practical relevance of big data and how it has become an integral part of our lives. She also provided valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities in the field of data analytics, detailing different job roles and discussed the potential salary ranges, industry demands, and the skills required to thrive in this dynamic field. Furthermore, she gave an overview of the M.Sc. Big Data Analytics program, covering the semester-wise curriculum, eligibility criteria, and placement details. She shared details of alumni who have been successfully placed in various organizations, as well as internship opportunities undertaken by previous batches in several companies. The session also touched upon the various intercollegiate fests, intra-collegiate fests and workshops organized under the program, which provide students with platforms to showcase their talents and enhance their learning beyond academics. By the end, some of the students currently studying in the Big Data Analytics programme, shared their valuable insights about the Big Data Analytics programme to the BCA students. The seminar was informative and helped students gain a clearer understanding of the field, making them more aware and interested in considering a career in data analytics.
